I'll give you some more information on our 24-hour race:
- Dates - 10-11 September 2011 - start and finish at 13:00
- Race course - last year it was 10,9 km long with 390m of vertical ascend - mostly dirt roads and single tracks at an altitude between 1200
and 1600m above sea level. We will have something similar this year, if not the same.
Race categories:
-- Solo - men/women - 24 hours round-the-clock individual racing,
Women - 3 places awarded if more than 3 participants, otherwise - only first place;
-- Solo - team of two - two riders ride together for 24 hours round-the-clock;
-- Relays - teams of 2 up to 4 - riders take relays riding the course, each team determines it's own strategy for switching the rider on course.
Awards - really small :-) Unfortunately that's the hardest part of such events in Bulgaria. We expect to get around 100 euros price for the
first places in Solo categories. Relay category generally get the smallest prices, since this category is mostly for fun and not very challenging.
- Sleeping/food - each rider takes care of himself. Camping ground for tents provided. There's a possibility that there will be a hotel nearby
the start-finish area.
- Entry fees - Solo - 15 euro, Teams - 25 euro per team, Relays - 40 euro per team, regardless of size
- Quota - 30 solo riders, 15 teams and 10 relays. 100 riders total.
- Charging station - currently unavailable
- Registration - online from 22.08 until 04.09 - we have a web-form, but it's in Bulgarian; If you and your friends decide to take part we will communicate by e-mail.
